Rob-See-Co Announces 2nd Year for Agnes Robinson Rural Library Grants

ELKHORN, Neb. (April 8th, 2024) – In honor of National Library Day, Rob-See-Co, an independent seed company located in Elkhorn, Neb. is excited to announce the continuation of the Agnes Robinson Rural Library Grant program.  The overwhelming response to the program in 2023 underscored the critical need for funding in rural libraries, prompting Rob-See-Co to establish it as an annual initiative.

Originally launched in 2023 to commemorate the company’s 10th anniversary and pay tribute to Agnes Robinson’s dedication to the rural library in Waterloo, NE, this program holds special significance.  Agnes, the grandmother of Rob Robinson, the current CEO, was a staunch supporter of rural libraries.  The program extends support to libraries in rural communities within the Rob-See-Co footprint.

“These grants represent our commitment to our dealers, growers and communities, while honoring my family’s legacy and the history of Rob-See-Co,” said Robinson.  “We are excited to continue this program and contribute to rural libraries that serve so many of our customers.”

In 2024, a total of $5,000 will be awarded to selected rural libraries in the states of CO, IA, IL, IN, KS, MD, MI, MN, ND, NE, OH, OK, PA, SD, TX and WI.  These funds can be used for core educational, preservation and interpretive purposes such as collection preservation, building maintenance repairs and improvements, support for funding traveling exhibits and speakers, support for attending workshops and programming or publications.

Applications will be emailed out April 8th and are due by June 30th.  The winners will be announced on October 1, 2024, coinciding with the anniversary of Rob-See-Co.
