(Lennox, SD) — Rain is expected across South Dakota as early as Friday morning. Many farmers are putting in extra work now in preparation for the much-needed moisture. Brock Hoogestraat, who’s been in the seed and farming business for over 15 years, says farmers in eastern South Dakota barely made it by in 2021 and last year. He believes that means the area is due for some quality rain. The biggest challenge now for farmers is making sure they can get their crops planted in time for the incoming systems.
