BISMARCK, N.D. – Registration is open, and individuals are encouraged to register for the CHFND Hunger & Health Summit to be held on May 23 at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science Center in Bismarck.
Organized by Creating a Hunger Free North Dakota (CHFND). The CHFND Coalition is a statewide network of organizations, agencies, service providers and advocates established to collectively identify and address food insecurity and its underlying causes. We know that hunger is a complex issue that can’t be addressed through food alone. To make meaningful change, we must take into consideration the factors that impact an individual or family’s overall wellbeing. To honor this, we must make space for new solutions that focus on the root causes of hunger, in addition to the symptoms.
We are thrilled to be bringing together stakeholders, hunger fighters, service providers, health promoters, community leaders and others – to share best practices, develop collaborative initiatives, and support one another as we continue the fight to end hunger in North Dakota. Attendees will hear from SAMHSA’s Food and Mood Program, Great Plains Food Bank, American Heart Association, and more.
